If you’re the sort of homeowner who needs to have the best Christmas lights in the neighbourhood, don’t move to Riverside, California.

Because it won’t be easy to outdo Kevin Judd, who has created a dazzling display – timed perfectly to LMFAO’s hit song Sexy and I Know it.

The father-of-two used thousands of LEDs to create a multicoloured sequence that flashes in time with the American hip hop band’s track.

While the song might not be the most festive of choices, it follows Mr Judd’s success earlier this year when he created a display synchronised to another of the band’s hits, Party Rock Anthem.

A video of show, created for Halloween and featuring illuminated singing pumpkins and tombstones, received almost nine million hits on YouTube – and the approval of the hip hop duo itself.

LMFAO contacted Mr Judd to ask him to create a new display for their latest hit, Sexy and I Know It.

They also wanted to ask for his permission to use the videos at the American Music Awards last month as a backdrop to their performance.

One of LMFAO’s front men Redfoo, told Good Morning America: ‘We’ve met the guy, Kevin Judd, who programs the house and we wanted him to work on the AMA. And it worked out amazing.’

‘It was all last minute, but it was fun working on this project,’ Mr Judd wrote on his website. ‘The performance was great and I had a lot of fun.’

Posting the video online, he warned the display would no longer be shown on the outside of his house, adding: ‘My neighbors need a break.’

Mr Judd, who has been creating light displays for three years, uses LEDs for the shows as they are more efficient than incandescent light bulbs.

Although it is a pricey hobby, he saves money by carrying out the soldering, wiring and construction himself.

Programming the lights to the music takes around 15 hours for every one minute of a song.

On his website, Creative Lighting Displays, he added: ‘I thought it would be a cool idea to add Santa Hats on the faces and place some Xmas trees on the lawn….and presto! Sexy and I know It Christmas style with a little Halloween thrown in.

‘Not your typical standard Christmas song…but who wants standard?’

The video has already received almost 115,000 hits on YouTube in just five days.
